How long does my hair have to be to get hair extensions? Will extensions damage my hair especially if I have thin fine hair?As long as your hair is at least 6 to 7 inches long, which is around shoulder length, tape-in hair extensions will blend naturally. No. Tape-in Hair Extensions is the beauty industry's leading form of non-damaging hair extensions. They are unbelievably realistic and provide a natural, undetectable transformation for fuller, voluminous hair. Specifically designed for fine and or thin hair, tape-in hair extensions are 100% natural, require no glue or chemicals, last up to 3 months and the hair is reusable for up to 2+ years.
-
Why do you ONLY offer tape-in hair extensions? Why don't you offer hand-tied? I purchased hair elsewhere can you install, reinstall or remove them?We only do tape in hair extensions. Created by our supplier, this method is 100% natural, non-damaging, requires no glue or chemicals, lasts up to 3 months and the hair is reusable for up to 2 years. We DON'T do hand-tied hair extensions for the following reasons: • Initial installation requires a significant investment of both time (2 to 5 hours) and money ($1,500 or more) - the most expensive method. The tension point systems can lead to hair loss from traction alopecia. • Damaging for women with thin fine hair. • Not suitable for women experiencing hair loss. • If the hair extensions are not washed regularly, bacteria can build up and cause infection. • Extensions may be uncomfortable, tight, and cause headaches after an application. We install, reinstall and remove our tape-in hair extensions only!

Can I tone, bleach or colour my extensions? Can I swim, exercise or go on vacation with hair extensions?Since our hair extensions are 100% human hair, you can tone or colour them darker but not bleach. You can colour your own hair with the extensions. If bleach is required, please book a removal first then do your colour with your hairdresser followed by the installation. You will have to book 2 appointments. It is recommended to book your bleach services closer to when you are due to re-do your hair extensions. Swimming: Chlorine is not hair-friendly. If entering the pool or ocean, apply Olaplex #6 leave-in conditioner mid to ends. It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim. Exercise: Please dry the tapes after exercising. Hair must be completely dry to avoid tangling at the root. Vacation: Our hair is an amazing quality 100% one donor human hair therefore, you can go on vacation with them!

Is it normal to lose extension strands? Why are my tape-in extensions sticky? It is important to remember that losing a few strands over 12 weeks is completely normal! Whilst most of OUR clients never lose a single extension, it can happen. Sometimes this happens while brushing or styling! Here are the main reasons: Root Conditioning. Conditioning is great for hair extensions, as long as it’s done on the mid-shaft down. Do not rinse upside down this can cause the extensions to slip. Product Buildup: When you have tape in hair extensions, you should be wary of applying excess products to your roots. Toner, dry shampoo, and other hair products can damage the adhesive if too much builds up along the tape. Products that use alcohol and oil should be avoided. These ingredients can damage the adhesive if applied in any amount. Naturally Oily Scalp/Hair: There are those that have excess oil and naturally oily hair. Tape extensions won’t hold as long and you will need to re-install your tape extensions more frequently (every 6 weeks or so). You can book a touch up ($75) on the website if you reach 5 sandwiches or 10 pieces or else bring your strands to your re-installation appointment. 💕 Unfortunately, sticky tape is totally normal. Some pieces will be stickier than normal depending on summer heat, the amount of oil your hair produces, how much heat you have applied to it, or how often you wash your hair. Make sure to double-wash and scrub your scalp really well. Rinse thoroughly. All of these factors play a huge role in that, but we think heat is the main culprit that feeds into stickiness! To remove product build-up and keep hair and scalp squeaky clean, we recommend washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo once per week.

Can I buy hair only? How long should I wait to wash my hair after a colour or toner?Yes, you can buy hair only by clicking on the length that you want. 👇 Ideally, please wait minimum of 48 hours to wash. It takes 2 days for the cuticle layer of the hair to fully close and that will trap the colour molecule in the hair, which allows you to have longer-lasting hair colour.
-
I wear a hijab - do you offer private rooms to accommodate? Can you install hair extensions for thinning hair on crown?Yes. Our salon windows are completely covered for extra privacy. For someone who is experiencing hair loss, or fine/thinning hair in the crown or fringe area, hair extensions are not an option.
-
Do you offer curly or wavy hair extensions? Do you offer short hair extensions?Yes, we do but ONLY in darker shades (caramel to natural black shades). No blonde at this time.
