before booking
Here you’ll find frequently asked questions from our clients, along with answers to help you make an informed decision about your hair transformation.
How long does my hair need to be for extensions?
For tape-in or nano-bead extensions to blend seamlessly, your hair should be approximately chin length all over to achieve the most natural results.
Do I need a consultation before getting extensions?
Yes! Please book a consultation first, as we don’t offer same-day installations. If you’re unsure which extension method is best, you can select one when booking. During your consultation, we’ll assess your hair and recommend the most suitable option, and then schedule a separate appointment for the installation.
What if I live out of town?
We’re able to do your consultation and installation on the same day. Please email photos of your hair in natural light to info@glamfairyhair.ca. The final cost will be confirmed during your appointment.
Do you offer colouring services?
We do not offer hair colouring services.
Can you install hair extensions for thinning hair on the crown?
If your crown area is thinning, traditional hair extensions won’t provide the coverage you need. A hair topper is the best option for achieving a fuller, natural look.
Do you sell hair toppers?
We don’t sell toppers at this time. We currently provide tape-in, nano-bead, and clip-in extensions, as well as a range of hair treatments.
Are clip-in extensions suitable for someone with thinning in the crown area?
Clip-in extensions are not recommended for someone with a thinning crown. Here’s why:
They need hair density to hide the clips.
If the crown area is thin, the clips can show through or look bulky.
They can add extra tension.
Clipping onto fragile hair may cause additional stress or breakage.
They won’t create coverage at the top.
Clip-ins add length and volume on the sides and back, but they don’t fill in thin areas at the crown.
